Case Study - Sherwood Compliance Services: Transom

We provided our Client with a complete Design, Build & Manage service to deliver this business solution. The solution was designed and implemented rapidly from the ground up by Greenfinch based on the business requirements provided by Sherwood Compliance. Throughout the build, and ongoing development of the solution, a SCRUM approach has been followed. This has involved the Client in prioritisation, planning and testing. One of the key considerations was in regards to the architecture for test and deployment. Five different environments are maintained with a continuous build and integration environment and one click deployment. This enables rapid change and gives the ability to scale the team and involve the customer earlier for testing.

The solution developed by Greenfinch Technology, Transom, is hosted on the Microsoft Azure Platform and delivers highly customisable multi-party, multi-process workflows capable of handling large volumes. The core functions of the system are:

1: Customisable workflow which allows records to be processed through the system based on complex business rules
2: Document management (receipt, analysis, storage and production of documents based on business rules)
3: Financial outputs for accounts systems
4: Supplier management
5: Integration via web services and file transfer with third party claim, accounts and other solutions
6: Business intelligence based on self-service report creation and mobile business intelligence. This allows the business users to build and run their reports without the need for development
7: Granular permissions. Multi-party and workgroup, access levels and management
8: Administration tools for business users to manage new processes and configurations with resort to development
